There is both a nursery and toddlers' room at the back of the church, but no official 'child-minders' for the summer months.

During the 10:30 Choral Holy Communion, there is a nursery available for young children at the back of the church, which is also the location of Toddlers' Church (Sunday School for toddlers). All children in grades Primary to six are invited to attend Sunday School in the hall each Sunday (September-June). If you are interested in joining us, or if you know of anyone who would like to join us, or be a volunteer teacher, please contact Michael Blackwood or Fr Westhaver.

Toddler's Church has a new home! Renovation of the former choir room in the church basement has given the Toddler's Church a larger area for their growing numbers.

Toddlers’ Church: We have a Sunday preschool where the children will hear a Bible story, sing a simple song followed by an activity and open play. If you are interested in the programme or want to help us please contact Kieva Diamond or Karen Westhaver in the Toddler's Room, downstairs at the back of the church. It would not be a commitment every Sunday, but on a rotating schedule.

Saint George's supports a lively Sunday School for children aged 5-12. The parish is dedicated to the Christian education of its youth and has written and developed a challenging and entertaining curriculum based on the Book of Common Prayer and its lectionary. The Saint George's Christian Education Curriculum is published by Saint Peter Publications in Charlottetown, P.E.I. (See St George's Curriculum for more information).

The Sunday School meets each week during the 10.30 Choral Communion. The Rector and people of Saint George's believe that children are an important part of the parish; it is not unusual to see the children in procession with the choir and clergy singing the Litany, sitting on the chancel steps for the children's talk, or standing by the font during a baptism. The children are present from the beginning of the service until the sermon; teachers and children return to the church to join the congregation at the altar rail to either receive the sacrament or a blessing and to participate in the post-Communion prayers and hymns. Sunday School teachers are volunteers from the parish who provide a lesson, craft, activity and snack for the children. The Sunday School is active from September until June.
During the 10:30 am service, meet us at the back door (to the right of the pulpit), at the end of the Creed. Come along and let's discover together in Sunday School. We will return to the church to receive a blessing at the communion rail with the rest of the congregation (class time is about 40 minutes).

Visitors are most welcome to both Toddler's Church and Sunday School.

If you are available to help in these important endeavours or for more information, please contact Karen Westhaver (Toddler's Church) or Michael Blackwood (Sunday School).
